Gilbert & Sullivan's The Mikado
The Mikado by Gilbert & Sullivan was produced summer 2005. The setting is Japan where Yum-Yum is betrothed to her guardian but really loves Nanki-Poo. Nanki-Poo is the Mikado's son, disguised as a traveling musician because his father ordered him to marry Katisha, the elderly "daughter-in-law elect" or be beheaded. Again, the lovers marry and all ends happily.
