Gilbert & Sullivan's Ruddigore
Ruddigore by Gilbert & Sullivan was 2004's production. The setting for the opera was a village in Cornwall where a group of professional bridesmaids lived. However there had been no weddings because all the village men wanted to marry Rose Maybud but she would have none of them;she loved a young farmer named Robin who was too shy to let Rose know he also loved her. Robin was really the cursed Baron of Ruddigore and that complicated matters. Again many setbacks occur, but in the end love triumphs.
